Guidelines and templates

All potential new programs (at both the undergraduate and graduate level) must submit a Notice of Intent (NOI) before launching a proposal brief.

Once the NOI is approved, new degree program proposals involve six components:

  • Development of a proposal brief by the initiating program.
  • External evaluation to provide an assessment of program quality.
  • Internal response to assessment.
  • Approval of proposal.
  • Submission of proposal to the Quality Council and Ministry of Advanced Education and Skills Development as appropriate.
  • Subsequent review of program as part of the university’s program review process.
