Capital Planning Cycle

- Capital projects are approved and communicated to units, Jan
- Project scope developed and finalized, project charters developed, Jan *once project charter is finalized, no changes will be made
- Fiscal year-end, all invoicing and purchase orders closed, March
- Capital projects work starts from previous years requests, June
- Deferred maintenance (FRP) projects work begins, June (may continue into remainder of active teaching year)
- Capital planning cycle begins with annual capital call for submissions, July
- Capital request deadline all units – outer year project requests (2 years) with a view to a multi-year focus, September
- Capital projects work continues to September
