Green Office Program
The university's Green Office Program helps support and showcase faculty and staff initiatives, both big and small, to create sustainable office spaces. The program highlights green-office achievements, tracks progress and offers tips for improvement for improvement to enhance campus sustainability.
Green Office Program Ambassadors learn, develop and share sustainability-related ideas, contribute to a positive campus and receive a certification for their department's sustainability achievements.
How it works
- Designate a Green Office Program Ambassador to complete the online form. Email sustainability@ontariotechu.ca with your Banner ID to access to the dashboard.
- Evaluate your department’s current practices and implement new sustainable initiatives.
- Track progress in the Green Office Program categories by updating the online dashboard.
- Certification is based on points achieved.
- Continue implementing new initiatives to improve your department's score.

Role of Green Office Program Ambassador
- Complete and update the department’s online dashboard at least once a year.
- Serve as the main contact between the department and the Office of Campus Infrastructure and Sustainability.
- Share sustainability-related events, announcements and resources with the department.
