Durham Climate Roundtable Forum
An annual regional gathering that brings together municipal governments, community leaders, organizations, and residents to explore effective ways to communicate about climate change. The forum focuses on accessible, empowering climate conversations rooted in local action and collaboration.
Critical Climate Week
An annual week-long series of engaging events hosted in conjunction with the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities around a specific topic and its relationship with climate change. Through film screenings, expert panel discussions, keynotes, and student debates, participants explore opportunities, challenges, and ethical considerations shaping our climate future. Previous Critical Climate Weeks explored the growing impacts of methane and artificial intelligence on climate change.
OEAC Environmental Film Night
A community film screening hosted in partnership with the Oshawa Environmental Advisory Committee. The event used film as a tool for education and dialogue, connecting global environmental issues to local sustainability efforts and community action.
