Sustainable Living and Green Habits

 Bike Month

A campus-wide initiative during the month of June that encourages students, staff, and community members to choose cycling as a sustainable and healthy way to get around. Bike Month promotes active transportation, reduced emissions, and accessible climate action through everyday commuting choices.

Community Cleanups

Community-led cleanups that bring together volunteers to reduce litter and care for shared public spaces. By taking collective action in Downtown Oshawa, as well as around the North campus, participants supported environmental responsibility and demonstrated how small actions contribute to cleaner, healthier communities.

Campus Farm and Free Store Pop-Up Markets

Community markets showcasing honey, candles, seasonal produce, and freeze-dried fruit from the Campus Farm alongside secondhand items from the Campus Free Store. These pop-ups supported mindful consumption, waste reduction, and local food systems through accessible, community-driven shopping experiences.
