Travel and subsistence costs

Commuting costs of grantees and associated research personnel between their residence and places of employment, or between two places of employment.

Flight change fees are not allowed unless properly justified as being an unavoidable cost and/or qualified to be the best use of funds for the research project.

Passport and immigration fees.

Any and all costs associated with thesis examination/defence, including external examiner costs (travel, food allowance, meeting expenses, etc.) This also applies for the examiner.

Reimbursement for airfare purchased with personal frequent flyer points program.

Personal telephone charges while on business-related travel are ineligible.
