Toronto's municipalities

In a 2013 report released by the Global Cities Institute Facility (GCIF), the “Toronto Urban Region” includes the City of Toronto at the core as well as adjacent municipalities which are integrated with the core through economic and labour-market activities.

The report identified 31 municipalities in the Toronto Urban Region:
